A MODERN CENTRAL LONDON APARTMENT W1Back to Case Studies

A case study for the installation of a quad multisplit DC inverter water cooled condenser to air condition a modern apartment in a conservation area

For this project we installed:

1 x 8 KW quad DC Inverter water cooled internal condensers

This served:

Living Room 1x 3.5kw (12,000btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit
Master Bedroom 1x 3.5kw (12,000btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit
Second Bedroom 1x 2.6kw (9,000btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit
Third Bedroom/Study 1 x 2.6kw (9,000btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit

The Project:

This modern residential apartment building is located on Riding House Street in the heart of Fitzrovia, close to Regents Park in the very heart of central London.

The owners wished to have air conditioning, but being in a conservation area, they were not allowed to fit a traditional external condenser box. Also they were not allowed to drill any holes in the external walls of the building.

The only solution available to air condition this apartment, was our energy efficient DC inverter water cooled internal condenser air conditioning system that allows everything to be retained within the apartment.

For this installation, a quad multi-split water cooled condenser was installed in an airing cupboard. This serviced four energy efficient quiet DC inverter high wall units in the living / dining room, master bedroom and two further bedrooms.

Our technical team were able to connect the refrigerant pipework between the condenser and the room units using the ceiling void and existing boxing. There was minimal disruption to the existing decor and all pipework was hidden.

No planning permission was required to fit our air conditioning systems in these apartments.
